| Read Our Blog Read Our Blog Blog Our New Team Member Hits the Ground ‘Running!’ Carmen Myers March 2, 2016 Uncategorized, Workforce 2 My name is Carmen Myers, and I am the new Workforce Services Program Manager at National Able Network (Able), working primarily with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The alternate name for my place is Workforce Services Liaison, which I assume gives a clearer image of what I hope to do. That is, I wish to work between completely different areas of the department and check out to figure out tips on how to make them talk higher and run extra easily. I’m really excited for the opportunity to be in a position that might be difficult whereas allowing me to develop as an expert. I’ve been in Workforce Development in Chicago for about six years, working particularly with the WIOA program for the last four. I’ve worked on a wide range of different sides of the sphere, from coordinating a job training program, to case administration, to job growth and employer rel ations. I obtained into the sector from hospitality, as a result of I knew I needed to be able where I felt like I might make a distinction. I like to assume that I am artistic, and that I’ve been successful in these positions because I’ve always sought to find better methods to do my job. Since I was a kid, I’ve needed to make the world a more “fair” place, and I really feel that serving to people get again to work is a very tangible means to try this. So far, Able has been a great place to work and everyone appears to be focused on improving client success and satisfaction â€" on every degree. Everyone seems genuinely dedicated to performing their jobs to the best of their skills, and staff are empowered to discover concepts that can make them more environment friendly. In my spare time, I am a runner and have (slowly) run four marathons and more halves than I can maintain track of. Though it can be draining, I love the physical challenge and dedication that training req uires. I don’t all the time want to run, but I am grateful for the rewarding feeling of completing a race â€" or even a long term. I plan to strategy this position like that, working exhausting to fulfill my targets to be able to assist us enhance as a department, and, finally, helping our clients get again to work! 2 feedback on “Our New Team Member Hits the Ground ‘Running!’ ” No more greater west city?
